Little Moments

Lately, Ryan has been having a lot of late nights at the office.

There's a huge project at work

and all hands are on deck.

And while most of the time that is a big bummer for me,

there are some unexpected side effects that are kind of fun.

For instance, we are more likely to eat whatever the kids want for dinner.

And we indulge in food that we love that dad doesn't like {poor man's pie}

or food that isn't very grown-up {mac and cheese and bean burritos top the list}

And sometimes when the day has gotten long for mom,

we all pile onto my bed and watch a little show on the laptop.

And in the midst of this busy time in our life,

I can appreciate this little moment...
