From my vantage point, it's pretty great to be a kid. It's a remarkable season free of adult responsibility or disillusionment. My greatest wish for my kids is that they may revel in the wonder that is childhood. I love to see the delight shining in their eyes when they experience something for the first time. I love to see how freely they abandon their inhibitions and frolic and play. I love to see their spontaneous giggles when they see something that I never would have noticed. I love them.
I hope whatever else we experience together, that my children will always know that they bring me joy. And that I love them. Forever.
