This afternoon we got some much needed rain... by way of a mini-hurricane! I was truly astonished to see the trees blowing sideways as hail rained down outside our house. Within a few minutes the power went out and storm continued to rage.
In true Arizona fashion, the storm let up almost as quickly as it began. Along with the power outage, the storm brought cooler weather at last. The kids couldn't resist the draw of playing in the wet outdoors. Within minutes a game of freeze tag began that was made all the more amusing by the slippery surfaces all around.
Rebekah was speechless over the boys antics.

In fact, whenever she hears a car,
she runs to the front window and calls out "Daddy!"
How beautiful is that?
A brilliant reminder that there is often beauty after the storm.
