This year, for spring break, we stayed close to home. Ryan has a major project at work that is nearing deadline and I wasn't brave (or crazy) enough to head out of town by myself with my darlings.
Instead, we had lots of play dates, outings and fun. One afternoon we invited some friends over to play. After watching the boys "spy" on the girls and the girls squeal with excitement for a bit, I herded them all outdoors to enjoy some glorious spring weather.
That is when they rediscovered the joy of big sidewalk chalk.

They worked as a team and drew a couple of "roads" for the bikes and scooters.
They were entertained for over an hour riding in their roads and finally converting it into a crosswalk. It was hilarious to watch them line up to walk their bike across the street. Luckily we have very nice neighbors who don't care if our chalk creations spill out onto the street and up their driveway!
Check out Meg's sweet ride.
Meg's friend Mallory was so much fun to have over.
But she also loves little sisters.
How great is that?
After a while, Rebekah decided that she really didn't want to be carried around. She wanted a chance to ride around big girl style. She waited by this scooter for almost 10 minutes before I finally gave in and scooted her cute little self around the driveway.
Overall, we had a great spring break!
We got to be a little bit lazy and fit in some fun too!
